ATELIERTHE ARTOF MAKING
A fashion house built around the process behind the garment — the pattern, the cut, the material, and the hand that shapes them into form.
Fashion is not finished when it is worn. It begins long before — in the pattern, the cut, the material, and the hand.

Each panel separated along its cutting line.

Construction complete — the garment holds its shape.

Degummed, garment-washed
Como, Italy
A dry-handed silk with a granular surface that diffuses light rather than reflecting it — chosen for garments that need to move without announcing themselves.
The Craft
- 01
Pattern
Every garment begins flat. The pattern room translates an idea into blocks, curves, and grainlines — the instructions from which everything else follows.

Cutting
Cloth is cut once, deliberately. Each panel is marked, notched, and separated from the bolt with the understanding that there is no undoing this step.

Draping
Panels are pinned to the form before they are sewn, so proportion can be judged on the body rather than on paper.

Construction
Seams are joined by hand and machine in sequence, each one chosen for how it will behave under movement rather than how it looks at rest.

Finishing
The final pass — hems, buttons, pressing — is where a garment stops being a construction and becomes an object ready to be worn.

Where Form Begins
A working studio, not a showroom. Cutting tables worn smooth, pins in every surface, and pattern paper left exactly where the last hand set it down.
